The Beekeeper's Due
A downloadable comic
Nominated for a 2023 Eisner Award for Best Short Story!!!
Written by Jimmy Stamp (me) and drawn by Débora Santos, The Beekeeper’s Due is a four-page comic about a beekeeper struggling to move on with her life in the wake of a tragic loss. It was originally written for the anthology Scott Snyder Presents: Tales from the Cloakroom, which was created and published by students in Snyder’s inaugural Substack writing course.
If you've downloaded and enjoyed Skep, I thought you might enjoy some more beekeeping-related media. This one is decidedly darker in tone. It's a short story, but it packs a punch.
Oh, and I'm still planning to release an expanded edition of Skep sometime. Life just...got in the way, as it tends to do.
Thanks for your support!

This was so succinctly written, I'm in awe!
Thanks for the kind words! It was longer ant first and I just kept carving away at it to get to the core story. Glad to hear it works for you! Thank you for taking the time to read it and comment!
